Privacy Policy

To process a booking and meet our rental requirements, we collect:

• Your name, mobile number, email address, and current address.
• A photo of your driver's license, and a photo of your valid government ID (or, for foreign renters, your passport).
• Your e-signature on the rental agreement.
• Booking details — dates, unit, purpose, destination, and pricing.
• Payment references for online reservation fees, handled by our payment processor (see Payments below).

You can create your account with an email address and password, or with the Continue with Google button. If you use Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us so we can create and identify your account. That is the whole of it — we request no other permission, so we cannot read your Gmail, contacts, calendar, or files, and we never receive your Google password.

We use that information only to sign you in and to run your booking, exactly as we would use the same details typed in by hand. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or pass it to third parties beyond the processors described in this policy, and our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect our access at any time from your Google account permissions, and ask us to delete the account itself under Your rights.

Every renter must hold a driver's license and leave a valid deposit — see our Policies for the full requirements. We use your information to:

• Confirm you're eligible to rent and prepare your rental agreement.
• Hold your license/ID or passport as the deposit arrangement you choose.
• Contact you about your booking, pickup, or return.
• Send your receipt and rental agreement by email.
• Process online reservation fees.
• Look into damage, loss, or a dispute involving a specific unit.

Licence and ID/passport photos are kept in private storage with no public access — they are never posted, indexed, or reachable by a direct link. Only authorized NKWB staff can open them, and each time they do, the link they use expires within a minute.

Your physical license and ID/passport (or cash deposit, per our deposit policy) are handled the same way: kept securely at our base and returned to you when the unit comes back in good order.

Only NKWB Cebu Rentals staff who need it to process your booking. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We may disclose it if required by law, by a court order, or to a government authority investigating a specific unit or incident.

Online reservation fees (GCash or card) are processed by our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number — the processor handles that directly. Your cash deposit and remaining balance are settled in person at pickup, per our Policies.

We keep your account and booking records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as reasonably needed for accounting, dispute, or legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your documents or close your account at any time — see Your rights below.

We use only what's needed to keep you signed in and to remember your booking in progress. We don't run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), you have the right to be informed, to access your data, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it, subject to what we're required to keep for legal or accounting reasons. To make a request, reach us using the details below. If you believe we've mishandled your data, you may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date below.
